School holding three fundraisers

KELSO, Mo. -- St. Augustine Home and School will host three fundraisers in the coming weeks. The euchre tournament will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 23. The $10 donation includes chili. Coolers are allowed. Call Brian Ziegler at 573-264-3050 with questions. The sausage breakfast, with sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and fruit cocktail, will be from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 31. Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children younger than 6 eat for free. The annual trivia night hosts teams of up to eight players and will open at 6 p.m. Feb. 13. Cost is $10 per player. Light snacks and soft drinks provided. Coolers are allowed. To reserve a table, call Ziegler. All events take place in the St. Augustine School gym in Kelso.

Boy Scout exhibit on display in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. -- The Sikeston Depot Museum will host a special centennial exhibit honoring the Boy Scouts of America in January and February. The organization celebrates its 100-year anniversary this year. The museum is free to the public. Call 481-9967 to schedule a private tour for Cub and Boy Scout groups or visit during museum hours.

Super Kids Race Day to be in February

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host the Super Kids Race Day Event in February with children from crawling age to 15 years old racing in their age group and in an all-ages one-mile races, which includes adults. Participants get a T-shirt and ribbon. The races will start at 1 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Southeast Missouri State University Student Recreation Center. Cost is $10 and $8 for each additional child if you register by Feb. 3. Registration after then is $12 and $10. Forms are available at the Arena Building and Osage Community Centre. Tickets still available for Memphis trip

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department has planned a trip to Memphis, Tenn., to watch a Grizzlies basketball game against the Phoenix Suns. Transportation and ticket are $60. The game starts at 4:30 p.m., Jan 18. The bus will leave at 11 a.m. from the Osage Community Centre and arrive back in Cape Girardeau by 10 p.m. Call 339-6340 to reserve a spot.
