HealthPoint schedules Fit-N-Fun Camp

HealthPoint Fit-N-Fun Camp is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 27 at HealthPoint Cape Girardeau. Children ages 5 to 12 can enjoy three hours of fun with games, activities, a snack and more. The cost is $20. For more information, call 986-4400.

Methodist church sets Christmas services

Maple Avenue United Methodist Church of Cape Girardeau will be hosting the following Advent services.

* 10:15 a.m., today, Children's Christmas program, "Christmas Letters."

* 10:15 a.m., Dec. 16, Chancel choir cantata, "Light of the World."

* 2 to 3 p.m., Dec. 24, walk-in Holy Communion. 6 p.m., Candlelight Holy Communion Service and live nativity scene.

* 10:15 a.m., Dec. 30, Singing Sunday.

Journeys support group to meet Dec. 18

"Celebrating Life during the Cancer Journey" will be the topic discussion at the Southeast Journeys Cancer Support Group meeting from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Unity Room at the Southeast Cancer Center. This support group covers educational topics from the American Cancer Society's "I Can Cope" series and a question-and-answer session. Journeys offers care, support and encouragement for those battling cancer and their families and caregivers. For more information, call 573-519-4754.

Ag Expo set for January in Poplar Bluff

The 2013 Ag Expo is scheduled for 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 18 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff. Admission is free. Scheduled activities include live music such as jazz, gospel, country, line dancing and clogging, beauty pageants, agriculture seminars and more. A number of children's events are also scheduled including a toy tractor pull, children gardening, teens farm safety and more. There will be 118 booths, and outdoor exhibits will be available to visit and learn about agriculture and its importance to the economy.
