Harmony Church will be performing "Arrest These Merry Gentlemen" Christmas Program at 6 p.m. Dec. 18. Everyone is welcome, refreshments served following the program.
Big River's 8th annual Holiday Turkey Drive
Big River Telephone is hosting their 8th annual Holiday Turkey Drive in two locations, Cape Girardeau and Farmington, Mo., ends Wednesday, with help from the Salvation Army, Schnucks (Cape Girardeau), Country Mart (Farmington), Withers Broadcasting and J98 "The Boot." Donation vouchers may be picked up in either city: Country Mart and J98 "The Boot" in Farmington or Schnucks and the Big River Telephone office in Cape Girardeau. The voucher, along with a $10 donation, can then be used at Country Mart or Schnucks to help feed others in the community. All donations will be used by the Salvation Army to provide meals for needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Big River will also be promoting the Turkey Drive live at both locations. Helping Hands Program
The Chaffee Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the annual Helping Hands Program. The program is a way for local sponsors to help local children have a memorable Christmas. Checks may be made out to "Chaffee Chamber of Commerce Helping Hands." Donations may be mailed or delivered to Montgomery Bank, P.O. Box 7, Chaffee, Mo., 63740.
New Year's Resolution Run
The Kenny Rogers Children's Center is hosting its 3rd annual New Year's Resolution Run at 11 a.m. Dec. 31 in Sikeston, Mo. There are three races to compete in, the 1-mile fun run, 5k and the 10k. For more information or to pledge a donation, email Brooke at SplitMasterTraining@live.com.
