The youth of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, Missouri, will host a spaghetti dinner and bazaar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at the church hall. The menu will included spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, dessert and beverages. Freewill donations will be accepted, with proceeds to support those attending the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans in 2016.
Saint Francis Medical Center offers medical screenings the third Wednesday of each month. The next session will be from 7 to 10 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Health and Wellness Center, Entrance 8. Services include a heart screening, lipid profile plus glucose for $29, which includes total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, cardio risk ratio plus glucose for diabetes; a free blood-pressure screening; glucose screening for $6; and women's osteoporosis screening for $25.
The LFCS Holiday Home Tour will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5. Six homes, a refreshment stop, giveaways, games and auction items will be part of the tour. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door the day of the tour. Those serving as a host/hostess during one of the shifts will receive a half-price ticket. Trinity Assembly of God in Olive Branch, Illinois, will present a free gospel sing with Ronny Hinson at 11 a.m. Nov. 22. Hinson is best known as writer of the gospel music standard "The Lighthouse," which won the Dove and Fan Award for Song of the Year in 1972.
