Westminster Presbyterian Church is inviting the public to join its members from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30. People can bring a jack-o'-lantern or a pumpkin and use one of the church's Christian stencils as a guide. The jack-o'-lanterns will then be placed on the hill and lit for all to see. There will be pumpkin carving, family photos, "tattoo," s'mores and refreshments...

First Baptist Church of Cape Girardeau, 1289 Lexington Ave., is again hosting its HalloweenFest in the church Activities Center from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday. The event is a safe, indoor alternative to trick-or-treating. The event features a "walk-through" candy giveaway plus fun and games. The community is invited.

Trivia night

The Jackson Heritage Association is hosting a trivia night Nov. 4 at the Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge, 639 Elk Lane. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event begins at 7 p.m. There must be six to eight players to a table at $10 per person. People must be 21 or older to attend and participate in the event.
