Fundraiser to benefit natural history museum

The Bollinger County Museum of Natural History in Marble Hill, Mo., will host a garage sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Oct. 16. Cape skateboarding competition today

The Cape Girardeau State Park Association will host a skateboarding competition from 3 to 7 p.m. today in the Missouri Park Skate Park in Cape Girardeau. The sign-up for the event begins at 3 p.m., and the competition will begin at 4 p.m. The entry fee is $10. Age groups for competitors will be 11 and younger, 12 to 15 and 16 and older. Participants who are not 18 must have a guardian sign a waiver.

Haunted Hall of Horror opens Friday

The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department will host a house of horror starting Friday at the Arena Building in Cape Girardeau. The Hall of Horror will be open from 7 to 11 p.m. on weekends leading up to Halloween. Admission is $5 for adults and children older than 6 and free for children 5 and younger. 'Fiddler on the Roof' coming to Cape

The Southeast Missouri State University River Campus in Cape Girardeau will host a performance of "Fiddler on the Roof" beginning at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20. The play "Fiddler on the Roof" is based on the stories of Sholom Aleichem. Trip planned to see Rams, Chiefs game

'The Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department is offering a trip to see the Rams take on their in-state rival the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 19 in St. Louis. Tickets for the trip, which cost $75, are on sale now and include a game ticket and charter bus transportation to the game. The bus will be leaving from the Osage Community Centre at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 19 and should arrive back in Cape Girardeau about 6 p.m. Door prizes will be handed out on the bus ride. Tickets can be ordered at the Parks and Recreation Department office in the Arena Building. For more information, call 339-6340.
