Friday night lives

Head to Jackson High School Auditorium for "A Night of Percussion" presented by the Jackson Percussion Ensemble at 7 p.m. Monday. Concert music will include Peter Gunn, Sabre Dance, and a drum piece with black lights performed by 40 students on various bass drums, toms, cymbals and snares. Southeast Missouri State University percussion professor Shane Mizicko will perform a duet with Jackson percussion director Chris Crawford. Senior Percussionist Justin Schwartz will also be there on solo drumset. It's free, so go.
