Living in Jefferson Barracks after the second World War, and all the men playing baseball in the field across from the barracks.

Definitely not stingy, so I would have to say generous.
What's your favorite wintertime food?
Chili. I make a big pot, and I separate it into smaller containers and freeze it.
What's something for which you're grateful?
For loving family and friends. ... I am going to a friend's to have Thanksgiving.

Very generous, because I know that a lot of people don't have it, and, if I do, why not give some to them?

I don't have one. I prefer not to deal with the cold.

I'm grateful for my life, because, you know, it's good to be alive.

Generous, because I've got it.

Not really, I like good food, like court bouillon.
What's something fore which you're grateful?
You make your own destiny. And I'm glad that I did what I did when I was young. I had one of four 1941 Oldsmobiles in the city of St. Louis. It was a hydramatic; cost more than a Cadillac.

One Christmas, dragging all of my presents down from my room so Santa knew what I already had and I wouldn't get duplicates.
Do you consider yourself generous?
I would say generous, to a degree. I enjoy being generous, but I don't like to be taken advantage of.
What's your favorite wintertime food?
Chicken and dumplings ... anytime.
What's something for which you're grateful?
Family and friends. Part of my family is coming here but the other part I will see at Christmas.
