__What was your best Halloween costume?__
"Enchantress," from one of the princess movies when I was about 10 or 11.
__What superstitions do you believe in?__
Black cats. A black cat once got me in trouble.
__What are some of your pet peeves?__
I have a lot, like when people stare at me or go slow on the highway. I have road rage.
__Describe the last meal you prepared.__
Salisbury steak with gravy, cabbages, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes for six people just a few days ago.
__What was your best Halloween costume?__
A French maid when I was 15. I got a lot of compliments.
__What superstitions do you believe in?__
Breaking a mirror brings you seven years of bad luck.
__What are some of your pet peeves?__
When people ignore me.
__Describe the last meal you prepared.__
I'm not much of a cook. I don't eat breakfast. I live on beef and chicken.

I never did have one. I grew up during the Depression. We were poor people; we couldn't afford anything.
__What superstitions do you believe in?__
The number 13 is a suspicious number, and, of course, a black cat crossing in front of you.
__What are some of your pet peeves?__
I've been trying to get rid of pain. I've been to a half-dozen specialist doctors and none has done me any good.
__Describe the last meal you prepared.__
Breakfast -- it wasn't much. A bowl of cereal and milk, canned peach slices and a glass of orange juice.

When I was about 6 or 7 I was a werewolf. We made the costume but probably bought the mask.
__What superstitions do you believe in?__
That's a tough one. I don't believe in any. But that would be a different question when you're by yourself in the dark.
__What are some of your pet peeves?__
I don't like "Don't Stop" by Journey. My friends sing it just to annoy me.

A plate of spaghetti I made for myself.
