5 songs you hate to love

1. "The Cha-cha Slide" by DJ Casper: Every high school dance, every wedding, every get-together involving more than 10 people -- this song is probably played. And EVERYBODY makes their way to the dance floor, because EVERYONE is a "good" dancer when they dance to the song. Why? Because DJ Casper tells you what to do. "Now, everybody, clap your hands."

2. "Free Bird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd: Nothing says "epic guitar solo" like a song that dedicates half its length to one. Long live that token individual who shouts "Free Bird!" at any concert or social event.

3. "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey: Yep. You hate that you love it.

4. "Wannabe" by the Spice Girls: The song is so catchy but the lyrics makes no sense. Everyone knows that if you want to be somebody's lover, you've got to get with her friends, right? Because what they really really really want is a "zigazig ha."

5. "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus: Like many across the country, I found Miley Cyrus' Video Music Awards stunt so disturbing I could not look away. "Ugh, I'll never like her music," I thought. Wrong. "Wrecking Ball" comes on the radio, and I'm scream-singing along with her. Well played, Miley.
