It's not often that you find the perfect house in the perfect location, but this house at 360 Tonopah may be it. From every vantage point it offers beautiful views.

This house sits elegantly upon a hill at the end of a long, private drive off Route W. In front is a large pond, quietly reflecting the color of the sky. In the back are woods offering restful nighttime sounds.

The house itself is elegant, yet comfortable, with a homey large front porch along the entire front of the home -- perfect for rocking chairs and glasses of lemonade. In the back is a roomy screened-in porch.

The entrance to the house is sunny and elegant. The door features etched glass and side lights, the floor is a warm hardwood. A romantic oak and white staircase winds upward. The living room features a 20-foot cathedral ceiling, with a large half-moon window as a focal point above French doors that lead to the screened back porch.

The formal dining room also has beautiful windows, including two large windows and a gorgeous bay window. The effect throughout the house is light and airy. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated with warm colors.

The kitchen, which blends gracefully with the other living areas of the house, is open and warm. It features a unique embossed design ceramic tile floor. The flooring helps give the kitchen a romantic old world look with hickory cabinets offering both beauty and lavish storage space, including a built-in wine-rack. A cheery breakfast nook is situated near French doors, which again lead to the covered patio. Also in the kitchen is a built-in desk area with a roll-down lid, built-in microwave and oven and a Jenn-Air range.

A nearby utility room opens to the patio and landscaped side yard. A pantry in the utility room has cabinets that match those in the kitchen.

The master bedroom also features French doors to the covered patio, and the suite includes a beautiful oval whirlpool garden tub. Hickory cabinets and a double vanity sink with a large and well-lit mirror make it a luxurious haven. A step-in shower is another added feature along with a large and walk-in closet.

This house has four bedrooms, three full baths, and one half bath. All are roomy and elegantly decorated, with generous closet space.

One of the house's best vantage points is from the loft that stretches the length of the hallway upstairs. It overlooks the living room, accentuating the lavish space in this home.

The basement of this house is not only finished, but so well done that it does not feel like a basement. It features a large family/entertainment room with plenty of space for every game the kids or adults could want -- air hockey, pool, and foosball. Modern track lighting gives the room a very upbeat look. The flooring downstairs is a light ceramic, and again a door to the backyard not only acts as entryway but also lets in an abundance of natural light. A small bedroom or office area also is located downstairs.

This house also features plenty of back yard space. It sits on four acres, offering every kind of landscaping, gardening, outdoor entertainment option that a homeowner could want.

Another bonus to this house is a room creatively built above the three-car garage. It could easily be made into a small loft-style apartment or used as extra storage space.

One of the best features of this house is its location. It is only five minutes from Jackson and 10 minutes from Cape Girardeau. It is in the Jackson school district. This house is available through Coldwell Banker Abernathy Realty, 243-8811. It is listed at $379,000.
