Every house has something memorable about it, whether it's the location, architectural features or the interior decor.

The house at 477 Summit Court in Jackson is memorable for all of those reasons. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this house has an inviting location. But perhaps the interior is what is most likely to catch the eye. This home was designed with an open concept. Rooms flow into one another freely, and two-story ceilings and an abundance of large and beautiful windows make it remarkable. An oak spiral staircase cascades from the second story, through the main level, and then downstairs. And there is the 17-foot native stone fireplace that reaches from the floor to the ceiling.

As distinctive as it is, the house is extremely adaptable to a variety of decorating styles because of the neutral color palette used. The living room has two focal points: the fireplace with its flanking rectangular windows and an oak entertainment center and bookcase.

The adjoining kitchen again celebrates the beauty of wood, with shining oak cabinets and modern appliances. The kitchen is tied to the dining area, where a beautiful Tiffany-style light fixture adds extra shine to the built-in oak china cabinets. Two sets of French doors link this family area to a partially-covered patio. The patio boasts the perfect combination of sun and shade. A main level laundry room is also just off the kitchen.

In addition to a wealth of open family space, this home also has plenty of space for private moments. With seven bedrooms and three and a half baths, there's a special spot for anyone in the family.

The master bedroom suite includes a large master bedroom with a cathedral ceiling and large window looking out over the front yard. A screened in porch just off the bedroom hosts the perfect spot for a get-the-day started cup of coffee, or relaxing quiet moments before bedtime. The cabinetry in the master bath is rich cherry, an interesting contrast to the more informal oak found in the rest of the home. A large double sink vanity with large mirrors over each sink area and a built-in cosmetics vanity make this bath both beautiful and extremely functional. The master bath also features a walk-in closet and step-in shower, though its centerpiece is a large garden style whirlpool tub with six jets and huge window behind it. Large mirrors on each end of the tub multiply the effects of the window.

Downstairs is a family room with a wet bar and large entertainment area. The wet bar features plenty of oak cabinetry and a wine rack. An island provides additional counter space.

Four bedrooms are also located downstairs, each with plenty of closet space, natural light through windows and proximity to two downstairs bathrooms. Each of the bathrooms features gleaming oak cabinetry with double sink vanity and built-in cosmetics areas.

The downstairs also includes plenty of storage space in unfinished areas and closet space. Upstairs, an open loft has two rooms currently being used as offices. The loft overlooks the main level living areas.

Altogether, this home has more than 6,500 square feet of living space, sits on 1.87 acres and has a two-car garage.
