Pink Tree Raises Money for Breast Cancer Program
Participants at the local Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society Alliance recently took time out of their day to decorate the Turning Point tree at the Southeast HealthPoint Fitness in Cape Girardeau. The Turning Point tree are also called the "pink tree" is used as a fundraiser to help Turning Point, a seven-week program for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer within the past year. This year's theme for the tree was "Imagine Another Birthday," which was inspired by the American Cancer Society's "More Birthdays" campaign. It features birthday cake, candle and gift-themed ornaments. Toward the end of the season, the ornaments may be purchased for a donation to the Turning Point program.
