Try something a little exotic on your next big vacation, a visit to the casbah, a trek across the desert, maybe even a fast ride to Marrakech.

Morocco doesn't have the biggest selection of travel information on the Web, but you can find enough information to get your travel juices flowing and pick places to see.

Take a tour with the articles and photos of Adventures of Morocco -- exicorient.com/morocco/ -- which profiles cities, towns and sights. They even give suggestions on which spots you can easily skip (Foum Zguid is a "rather anonymous town") and which ones to make time for (Marrakech is "a fantastic city ... a symbol of the Morocco that once was and which still survives here.")

Adventures also has Travelers Basics such as visas and currency, and digging through the menu will get you Special Morocco topics.

Take another illustrated tour at Morocco Photo Diary , www.spin.si/robertb/morocco/ -- an elaborate photographic travelogue.

Next, try Welcome to Morocco at www.tourism-in-morocco.com/indexa.htm a privately run Web site in partnership with the Moroccan Tourism Board. Their information is a little sparse, but clicking on the map will get you to local information, including topics such as things Not To Be Missed in the old city of Meknes.

Take a short survey of the country at Adventure in Morocco at www.geographia.com/morocco/ -- which gives you a quick outline of geography and history.

Then move on to www.morocco.com/ -- although most of their information consists of links to other Web sites. Hit the Travel section and browse through the links under Tourist Tips. And Culture has a link to another collection of photos, called Images of Daily Life in Morocco.
