Singing event at Father's Arms Fellowship
Father's Arms Fellowship is having a gospel singing with The Southern Brothers at 6 p.m., June 3 at 1400 Main St., Scott City, in the church parking lot. There will be refreshments served by the teens as a fund raiser, and the community is invited. Everyone should bring lawn chairs. In the event of rain, the program will move to the sanctuary.
Catholic youth group going to Chicago
The Vincentian Marian Youth is gearing up for its weeklong mission trip, Operation Overhaul: Chicago. The group will be there from June 24 to July 1, traveling by van to Chicago where they will be working and serving the poor under the guidance of Catholic Charities and the Daughters of Charity. This will be the third weeklong mission offered by the teens. The first, in 2005, took place in the Appalachian mountain community of Pine­ville, W. Va., under the guidance of the local St. Vincent de Paul Society, where they painted and repaired homes, built a covering on a wheelchair ramp and other activities. Last year the group helped clean up in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Catholic and non-Catholic teens, from incoming high school freshmen to graduated seniors, are welcome to sign up. Summer Bible study at the park on Wednesdays
The Stonecroft Bible Study at the park will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. each Wednesday in June beginning June 6 at South Cape County Park, shelter 21. The theme is "Why Believe? Investigate Evidence for Faith." These are informal, nondenominational studies. Mariner's Tent Revival planned in Scott City
The annual Mariner's Tent Revival at First Assembly of God Church in Scott City will be at 7 p.m. each night, Tuesday to Friday. Mike Adkins will be featured Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by Greg Hood Thursday and Friday.
Teens Encounter Christ to hold Congress

St. John's Homecoming to be held June 10
Homecoming Sunday will be June 10 for St. John's United Church of Christ in Jackson. Guest speaker will be interim conference minister Char Burch. Pickin Pennies will provide music. A covered dish lunch will be at 11:30 a.m. with the church supplying ham. Following homecoming will be a cemetery association meeting.
First Baptist has summer Youth Bash events
There will be a youth Bible study at First Baptist Church in Cape Gir­ar­deau, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with youth intern Phillip Meece. Phillip will also be sharing in the regular Wednesday night Bible Study time of his involvement with a program called "Student.Go" last summer in an inner-city summer camp for teens in Washington, D.C. All area youths are invited to a regular 6 p.m. Youth Bash on Thursday nights throughout the summer for games, food and fun.
Sedgewickville United Methodist has revival
Sedgewickville United Methodist Church will have an outdoor revival beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and June 9. Speakers for the revival will be the Rev. Ron Watts on Thursday, the Rev. Michael Woodson Friday and the Rev. Geof Posegate June 9. Everyone is invited to bring their lawn chairs.
