Children offer simple comfort to grieving families

School children at Trinity Lutheran School donated cases of tissue boxes to area funeral homes recently. They personalized the boxes with hand-drawn artwork and wrote a Bible verse for grieving families on tablet paper they attached to the boxes. Principal Diane Maurer said the outreach project was based on the Beatitudes.

Betty Kuss at Lorberg Funeral Chapel said she was so touched by the childrens' contribution she had to call the Southeast Missourian.
