Parents' names: Wesley and Phyllis Amelunke
What extracurricular activities were you involved in? Can you tell us a little bit about your experiences?
I ran cross country for a couple of years and was in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), but most of my focus outside of school was on music. For the past few years, I've spent three or four nights a week playing in various bars, wineries and venues with my band Old School Hype.
Who is your role model, and why?
My dad. He is the most genuinely good person I know and is a very hard worker. He never complains and has set a great example for me and my siblings to look up to.
What is your favorite high-school memory?
Getting out of school to play guitar for SEMO's classical guitar ensemble.
What are your plans after graduation? Where do you plan to attend school, and have you decided your major? If so, tell us why you chose that path:
I am attending the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music, majoring in music performance on the classical guitar.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?
Don't listen to any advice that I try to give you.
In just three words, describe your high-school experience: Not very difficult.
