Cindy Rittmer quit her corporate job last year in Iowa to pursue her newfound passion: Knitting. She opened the Tangled Yarn in downtown Cape Girardeau soon after. They say if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. It is safe to say after chatting with Cindy that she is pretty much on an extended vacation.

__Buy the River: What goes on at the Tangled Yarn?__

__Cindy Rittmer:__ I sell yarn, already-made products and I teach classes.

__BTR: What are some of the already-made products available in your store?__

__CR:__ Project bags and accessories.

__BTR: Where are you from originally?__

__CR:__ Puxico, Missouri, about 50 miles southwest of Cape.

__BTR: You mentioned you came here from Iowa. How did you get here?__

__CR:__ I was in Iowa for 34 years and I moved to Cape to be closer to my family.

__BTR: When did you start knitting?__

__CR:__ I started knitting about five years ago. I fell in love with it, then quit my corporate job. I enjoy it a lot.

__BTR: I saw on your Facebook page the posts showing your students' finished products.__

__CR:__ Yes, I encourage my students to bring in what they have been working on.

__BTR: How often do you teach and what's next?__

__CR:__ I teach about a couple times a month. It also depends on the interest. Right now there is beginners knitting and beginners crochet. Infinity scarves class starts next month. I keep getting asked to do a sock class, so it is coming soon.
