The SEMO District Fair is one of our town's biggest events of the year. People come from all over to partake in events, rides and amazing food. One of my favorite things to do is see what folks are wearing.
Whether it's traditional cowboy/girl flashy digs or a fair-appropriate take on the latest trends, one can see it all, and it's so much fun.
I stopped two young fairgoers because their style was on point and on display.
First I ran into mini-fashionista Lamiyah Mackins looking cute and cool.
She paired a fitted Under Armour "I will" tee with stretch blue jeans.
Lamiyah topped her outfit off with a pair of cowboy boots -- perfect fair digs. I took some time to ask her a few questions while she hung out with her friends. Here's a little about Lamiyah:
Age: 12
School: Nell Holcomb
Favorite piece of clothing: "I love wearing maxi skirts!"
Why she chose to wear this outfit: "It was muddy outside. I didn't want to get my regular clothes dirty, so I decided to wear this."
Does she like cowboy boots? "I REALLY like cowboy boots!"
Next up, besties Mara and Emma struck the perfect chord in style and comfort. Mara paired her soft cotton V-neck top with gray jeans and peach canvas sneakers. Her blush baguette was a nice touch.
Emma kept it casual and sleek with her pretty-in-pink tee with deep blue jeans. From her jewelry to her trendy cross-strap sandals, Emma nailed her look.
See more about this dynamic style duo in the next issue of Flourish magazine, coming Nov. 10!
