Heartland Pops to hold annual Christmas concert
The annual Heartland Pops Orchestra and Chorus Christmas concert will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Cape First Church. The guest choir will be the Perry County Lutheran Chorale under the direction of Tyson Wunderlich. Mike Shain from KFVS12 will be the guest narrator. Three-night revival set for Charleston church
CHARLESTON, Mo. -- A three-night revival will be held Wednesday through Friday at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church at 503 S. Franklin St. in Charleston. Revival starts at 7 each night. Speaker will be Bishop T. McAdams of the St. Michael's Deliverance Ministries of Jefferson City, Mo.
Gloryroad Travelers to perform Dec. 1
VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- Gospel singing will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge on Dec. 1. The Gloryroad Travelers of Mounds, Ill., will be featured at the concert.

St. Andrew Lutheran to present program Dec. 9
The adult choir of St. Andrew Lutheran Church will present its "Service of Lessons and Carols" at 4 p.m. Dec. 9 in the church sanctuary at 804 N. Cape Rock Drive. There will be a preconcert recital featuring Mission Bells, a new bell choir at St. Andrew, at 3:30 p.m. The service will consist of congregational singing, choir anthems and the traditional Christmas story.
First Baptist announces events for the week
Morning worship at 10:45 at the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will feature a sermon titled "Knowing You, Jesus," from Pastor Mike Shupert in preparation for the Christmas season. "Children's Worship" will be held Sunday morning after Children's Moment for those ages 4 through second grade with Whitney Thomason. There will be no Adult Bible Study this Wednesday. Youth Bible Study with Tyler Tankersley will be at 6:30 p.m. Kids' Club with Whitney Thomason will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday is "Parents' Night Out," a ministry of First Baptist to parents of children in kindergarten through sixth grade, giving Mom and Dad a break to Christmas shop or just breathe for a while. Reservations are required, and openings are available.
