School: Scott City High School
Parents: Bryan and Heraleen Bowers
Hometown: Scott City
Post-graduation plans: I’m going to attend Southeast Missouri State University. I’ll be on the cross-country and indoor/outdoor track and field teams. I plan on getting a degree in biomedical engineering — either that or pre-med.
High-school activities: All available girls’ sports, student council president, National Honor Society president, Science Club president, pep club and more.
Favorite high-school experience: My all-time favorite was when I was a sophomore. ... Our softball team made it to state. We lost our first game and played for third. Then, my parents and I drove an hour and a half to Principia (in St. Louis) for me to run the 800-meter race.
Biggest role model: I would definitely say my parents. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
Advice to underclassmen: Always try your hardest in everything. If not, you’ll always regret it.
Three words for the entire high-school experience: Fast, fun, rewarding.
