Area DAR chapter wins national honor
The John Guild Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution won national honors during the Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. Chapter regent Pam Johnson accepted the national award for the 10th anniversary of 9/11 ceremony held at the Veterans Memorial Park in Jackson. The chapter won first place at state, then first place in the south-central division before going to the national competition.
