Technology specialist Kris Oliveira and public relations coordinator Steve Robertson were recognized for their awards of commendation from Missouri School Public Relations Association at the November meeting of the Cape Girardeau School Board. Robertson also received an award of commendation from MOSPRA for the district's Faces of Success brochure.
The John Guild Chapter of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution announced its Good Citizen nominations at their November chapter meeting. Sam Breite was nominated by Saxony High School and Raymond Hecht was nominated by Jackson High School. Rebeca Walka was nominated by Meadow Heights High School but was unable to attend. Dr. Adelaide Parsons, chairwoman of the Good Citizens Committee, introduced the students and told of their qualifications.
Three awarded at LFCS 'Faith in Action' dinner
The Lutheran Family and Children's Services of Missouri gave out three awards at their "Live From the Red Carpet" Faith in Action dinner auction on Oct. 1.
Bill Cole received the Community Award for Realty Executive, Vernon Kasten accepted The Walter J Keisker Award on behalf of his
mother, Stacia Kasten and Shirley Sebastian received the Volunteer of the Year Award.
