Touring pianist Theodore Edel will be featured at a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brandt Music Hall on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Edel is a native of New York City who holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the Juilliard School and earned a doctoral degree from the Manhattan School of Music. He had toured the United States, Europe and the Far East as a recitalist and soloist with orchestras. The recital will feature two impromptus by Schubert, the "Symphonic Etudes of Schumann" and the first three Chopin scherzos. For more information, call 651-2265.
Kristie Agee and Big Potential -- her band featuring husband Roy Agee on trombone -- will perform a concert to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the River City Yacht Club above Port Cape Girardeau.
