The River Campus Art Gallery at Southeast Missouri State University will present the Annual High School Art Academy Exhibit on June 12. A gallery reception for this one-day display will be from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Art Academy is a series of workshops designed for high school student artists interested in broadening and enriching their art experiences, realizing their personal and contemporary vision and building their portfolios for the college level.
Workshops were held in Southeasts art studios under the guidance of the Department of Art faculty. This exhibition is the culminating event of the workshops, displaying the diverse works created by young, up-and-coming talent.
The River Campus Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Seminary Building, room 106. Normal gallery hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 7 p.m. on First Fridays. All gallery exhibitions, events and talks are free and open to the public.
