The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 63 donated 14 handmade quilts to the Shelter of Hope in Cape Girardeau at a recent meeting. The members of the Auxiliary Unit said that they are always trying to find ways to reach out to the community. They said they wanted to do something for the Shelter of Hope, because they knew the emergency needs of the shelter. The Shelter of Hope provides temporary emergency housing and service to families who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless in the Cape Girardeau area.
