Ameren Missouri donates 50 air conditioners

As part of its Air Conditioner Giveaway Program, Ameren Missouri donated 50 air conditioners to the East Missouri Action Agency. The agency will distribute them to eligible low-income and elderly customers. This is the eighth year Ameren Missouri has sponsored the program. The air conditioners are certified units that meet the strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy. Eligible recipients already have been selected by the agencies, which use poverty guidelines and other circumstances to determine qualification. Ameren Missouri has donated 665 air conditioners this year to organizations and agencies throughout Missouri.
