For me to say that high school has been great would be an understatement. My four years at Notre Dame have been second to none. Some things that made it truly a great experience: number one would be my amazing friends, a good Friday night basketball game, being involved in clubs and athletics and all the great memories I've made doing all these things. Knowing that high school is only four years long made me try and make the most out of every day...

With all the ups of high school, there are somethings that aren't as great. The college preparing and all the scholarships can be exhausting. Knowing that in four years you have to leave some of your very best friends at the end of is tough. As much as I love athletes and playing basketball somedays can be hard balancing a sport, a social life, being student body president and having good academics can weigh on a person.

When I wake up every morning, and there are days when I don't want to go to school, it's truly amazing to have such a strong support group in my family. They are there for me on my best days and on my worst days.

Being shadowed today, (photographer) Andy (Whitaker) saw one of my more typical days. Some are busier than others, but most are similar to today. Some things that make my day different on a day-to-day basis would be my clubs and activities. I'm the president of the Pro-Life Club, president of the student body, president of Future Career and Community Leaders of America, publications officer of Athletes Give Back, a member of the National Honors Society, member of the Peer Helpers, and I'm on the varsity basketball team.

My involvement at Notre Dame has already helped me so much with applying for scholarships. Having this leadership experience I will be taking away from Notre Dame, I know will help me down the road through college and after college.

My high school career is quickly coming to an end, but looking back there are so many memories I will never forget. I have to brag on my basketball team; they are honestly my best friends and I would do anything for them. Spending these last four years on and off the court with them has truly been great, and I can't wait to finish off the season.

As much as I love playing the game, I also loving cheering on my team. Notre Dame's Blu Crew is always very focused on cheering for our team and not against the other team. I love the atmosphere of a basketball game. I love the crowd, the chants, and enjoying it all with my friends.

I will never forget homecoming and activity weeks at Notre Dame; they were so exciting. One thing that really sticks out when I think back on my first three years of high school is some of the great teachers I have had the privilege of learning from. Looking back there are not many things I would change about high school, it was a great experience and I can not wait to see where the future takes me.
