KFVS12 recently held its second annual 5KFVS run/walk, raising $8,280 for the United Way of Southeast Missouri. The event had 450 runners and walkers, including many of the news team. The number of participants nearly doubled from the previous year. Many area businesses provided sponsorships to help with United Way's community efforts. Race participants paid an entry fee that was donated to United Way. Pictured are KFVS representative Stephanie Byars, left, and Kim Simon, United Way campaign director.
