Frito-Lay located a giant facility in Jonesboro in 1998, with a $400,000 square foot facility which employs about 700.

Frito-Lay -- which looked at sites in Southeast Missouri (Cape Girardeau, New Madrid, Sikeston and Malden), West Tennessee and North Mississippi during an 18-month search -- selected Jonesboro in for the plant in 1996.
