Dr. Christy Fowler has joined Regional Eyecare Center Inc. in Cape Girardeau. Fowler is a native of New Madrid and previously practices in Sikeston.
She graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry at the top of her class and received the clinical optometry award, presented by the faculty to the student with the most outstanding clinical skills.

Her undergraduate studies were at Murray State University at Murray, Ky., with a major in biology and minor in psychology.
Fowler will do comprehensive eye care at the Cape Girardeau facility.
