After breaking up a no-hitter with a leadoff home run by senior outfielder Kayla Fortner in the seventh inning, the Southeast Missouri State softball team sustained its third consecutive walk-off loss to Murray State in the bottom of the inning Sunday in Murray, Kentucky.

Alexa Becker's two-out double off freshman pitcher Madeline Krumrey scored teammates Brianne Sanders and Shelbey Miller to rally the Racers to a 2-1 victory.

The victory came on the heels of 4-3 and 6-5 walk-off wins by Murray State on Saturday.

Southeast, which came into the series with a four-game winning streak, fell to 10-21 overall and 5-10 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Murray State improved to 10-21 overall and 12-5 in the OVC.

Racers pitcher Haven Campbell held the Redhawks hitless over the first six innings of a scoreless contest before yielding Fortner's OVC-leading 12th home run to left-center field. Campbell pitched 6 1/3 innings before being replaced by CheyAnne Gaskey, who was credited with the win.

Krumrey (7-8) took the loss. She allowed seven hits, struck out two and walked two.

Southeast returns to action Saturday when it hosts Morehead State in a noon doubleheader.
