Kimbeland Country Club of Jackson used a sudden-death victory Sunday to slip past Cape Girardeau Country Club in the first annual Cape County Challenge Cup.
The clubs were tied 8-8 following various Ryder Cup-style matches played between the eight-man teams Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday's sudden-death competition was four-ball, with two players on each squad.
Mark Unger birdied the fifth extra hole to give Kimbeland the victory.
