SMITHVILLE -- Fourteen of 27 hunters bagged deer during two special deer hunt for disabled hunters in Missouri recently.
Nine of 17 hunters were successful at the Smithville Reservoir hunt, and five of 10 bagged deer at the Mark Twain Lake location.
Area residents and volunteers from the One Shot Buck Masters Club, helped with the Smithville hunt, and volunteers from the Paris and Monroe City Lions Club turned out to help with the Mark Twain hunt.
