  • The Cardinals and infielder Aaron Miles avoided arbitration Tuesday, agreeing to a $1 million, one-year contract ahead of the deadline for teams to offer deals to unsigned players on their 40-man rosters. The 29-year-old hit .263 with two home runs and 30 RBIs in 135 games.
  • The Cardinals and U.S. Cellular announced Wednesday that the trophy will go on a three-state tour of Missouri, southern Illinois and northeast Oklahoma. Most of the appearances will be at U.S. Cellular stores. The tour schedule will be posted on www.stlcardinals.com.
