ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Blues on Thursday named Dave Baseggio as head coach of the Peoria Rivermen, the team's American Hockey League affiliate.

Baseggio, 38, was head coach last season for Bridgeport Sound of the AHL, leading the Tigers to a 38-33-6 record and a playoff appearance. He spent 10 seasons playing minor-league hockey.
