Skateboarding
- Skateboarding competition: The Cape Girardeau Skate Park Association will host its third biannual skateboarding competition June 22. Sign-up ends at noon and competition begins at 1 p.m. at the skate park in Missouri Park. All ages are invited to compete. Cost: $10 on sign-up days or $15 on day of competition. Soccer
- Kicks camp: Kicks Soccer Shop will host a camp for players between the ages 5 and 12 from June 23 to June 27 at Shawnee Soccer Park. - Southeast Missouri State camps: The Southeast Missouri State women's soccer program will host camps for players between the ages 6 to 14. They will be conducted by Southeast coach Heather Nelson, assistant coach Paul Nelson as well as current and former Redhawks players. The Perryville camp, held at the Bank of Missouri soccer complex, will run from Wednesday to June 13 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from June 16 to 18 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from July 29 to Aug. 1 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. There will be a camp from Aug. 4 to 6 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 9 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a camp from Aug. 6 to 8 at Shawnee Park field 12 that runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Cost: $50 per camp. - Super Soccer Camp: The Cove Recreational Complex will host a camp directed by Southeast Missouri State soccer player Alaina Lacopa from Tuesday to June 13. Softball
- Special Olympics benefit: The Southeast Area Special Olympics will host a softball tournament June 21 at the Dexter Sports Complex. There will be a men's upper, men's lower and coed division. The tournament will use ASA rules of play and pitching regulations, ASA or NSA approved bats only and teams will use their own 44 core optic yellow balls. Tennis
- Summer camps: The Cape Area Tennis Association will hold camps for boys and girls between the ages 6 and 14 at the Southeast Missouri State tennis courts. The first session begins June 16. The pre tennis group, for ages 6 to 10, meets from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and costs $15. The intermediate group, for ages 10 to 14, meets from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and costs $20. Volleyball
- Southeast Missouri State camps: The Southeast Missouri State volleyball program will host several camps. They will be conducted by Southeast coach Renata Nowacki, assistant coach Jeremiah Larsen as well as current and former Redhawks players. An all-skills camp will be Sunday through Tuesday for grades 4 through 8 and Wednesday through June 13 for grades 9 through 12. Times are 6 to 9 p.m. daily. Cost: $150 for day campers (lunch and dinner provided) and $190 for resident campers (all meals and dorm provided). A serving/passing clinic for ages 12 through 18 will be June 16, a setting/attacking clinic for ages 12 through 18 will be June 17, and a blocking/defense clinic for ages 12 through 18 will be June 18. - Jackson camp: Jackson High School volleyball coach Maile Gannon will conduct a high school preseason preparation camp for grades 9 through 12 that will run from July 28 to 31 at the Junior High.
