AREA BRIEFS: TOP HIGH SCHOOL OFFICIAL TO SPEAK IN CAPE

Emry Dilday, recently named the president of the National Federation Interscholastic Officials Association for 1999-2000, will be the guest speaker Wednesday during the annual meeting of the SEMO Football Officials Association.

The meeting, set for a 7 p.m. start, will be held at River Eagle Distributing in Cape Girardeau.

In his new capacity, Dilday will lead the 130,000-member national professional organization for high school contest officials.
