Why do we have to put up with this?

To the editor:

If you've been reading the letters to the editor recently, I'm not the only one who is absolutely weary of the rantings of Alan Journet, Robert Polack Jr. and other Southeast Missouri State University faculty members whom you apparently feel obligated to jam down our throats.

Are you required for any reason to give these people editorial space? Does Gary Rust's being chairman of Rust Communications mean he no longer cares or has time to take a look at an issue that has been festering in Cape Girardeau for years?

If I was the only one with these opinions, I would shut up. But we number in the hundreds.
