U.S. should offer help to the world

To the editor:

We are all concerned about the rampant anti-Americanism that is prevalent in the rest of the world, especially the hatred that Islamic fundamentalists have for us. Having the courage to extricate ourselves from the Iraq war with some kind of diplomatic solution such as a three-way division of the country without trying to dominate the Middle East would be the first step.

The positive actions we could then do would be, using assets such as the military, to help in any disaster in coordination with other countries without regard to religious differences. Instead of being the policeman of the world, we could be the Red Cross of the world. We have to change our attitude, please.
