The Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament wrapped up Friday night with the Charleston Bluejays defeating the Notre Dame Bulldogs 58-50 in the championship game. Charleston, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, started the tournament with a lopsided win over Meadow Heights. ...

The Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament wrapped up Friday night with the Charleston Bluejays defeating the Notre Dame Bulldogs 58-50 in the championship game.

Charleston, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, started the tournament with a lopsided win over Meadow Heights. Following the first-round game the Bluejays went on to defeat Scott City and Cape Girardeau Central High School before reaching the championship game. Rounding out the top four in the tournament were Central High School in third-place and Scott County Central finishing fourth.

Congratulations to the 10-player all-tournament team. This year's honorees: Alex Crowe (Chaffee), T.J. Tisdell (Central), Nathan Meystedt (Notre Dame), Dominique Porter (Scott County Central), Greg Tucker (Charleston), Kyle Stroder (Leopold), Karson King (Jackson), Ryan Parham (Charleston), Zach Cotner (Scott City) and Lane Below (Advance).

Tournament attendance was up this year. The four-day total was 21,400, up 861 from the 2010 tournament.
