More taxes grow government, which consumes more and more taxes!

Cape Girardeau and Jackson citizens, please vote "no" this Tuesday, April 5, on Question 1 and Question 2, asking for more taxes!

Why is it always the burden of our local citizens to continually pay more taxes in order to fill the poorly managed municipalities' budgets?

Why is it that the local municipalities continually call for more taxes in order to fill the need for more police, fire and safety for the citizens?

Why is it that our local elected officials continually run their elections on lower taxes and cutting the fat from their budgets, only to increase spending and increase our taxes once in that elected office?

Why is it that local citizens must continue to pay higher taxes through property taxes, sales taxes, state use taxes, county use taxes, permit fees, administration fees and licensing fees?

Why is it that our local municipalities continue to spend our taxes with private enterprises, which many continue to lose our money, then require more and more taxes each year?

County's use tax is for their $44 million-plus building project, driving around in taxespayer-funded vehicles, enjoying a lucrative part-time salary pushing towards $70,000!

Cape Girardeau is floating a new building, among many other spending projects, while crying for more police officers.

Jackson spends it on sports-complex and annexation costs, and a dog park.

Don't we pay enough already?

Stop the cycle. No more taxes!

Cut spending now!
