The Southeast Missouri State University gymnastics team returns home for a meet Friday night with Lindenwood. The Redhawks, in their lone home match, lost to Kent State. They have since gone 2-2 with wins over Cornell and UIC.

The gymnastics squad is known for something else: Academic excellence. In August the team was recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women for the highest cumulative GPA for all NCAA programs. The Redhawks had a 3.8146 GPA.

In other Southeast sports, the men's and women's basketball seasons continue. The next home game for the men is Feb. 12 against UT Martin. The women play at 11 a.m. Monday at the Show Me Center and will face off against Austin Peay.

Here are a few dates to mark for other Southeast sports:

* Feb. 18: The first home baseball game at Capaha Field. The game starts at 3 p.m.

* Feb. 21: Southeast track and field hosts the Redhawks Invitational.

* March 1: First home softball game against Missouri State. The game begins at noon.

* March 11: The Southeast tennis team will face Westen Illinois at 2 p.m.
