I just can't believe the headlines on the front page of today's Missourian. First we see "Council OKs agreement for sports complex." Just what we need, more tourists on our already overcrowded streets. Then we see where many of our bridges are in "critical" condition, meaning they could collapse, killing people. ...

I just can't believe the headlines on the front page of today's Missourian. First we see "Council OKs agreement for sports complex." Just what we need, more tourists on our already overcrowded streets. Then we see where many of our bridges are in "critical" condition, meaning they could collapse, killing people. But, sadly, the state doesn't have the money for repairs. So where are they getting the money for the sports stadium in St Louis, plus this one? Isn't it about time we concentrated a little less on sports and more on things that are important to all of us? It seems that the United States has gone sports crazy. Believe it or not, we are not all addicted to sports.
