When is the city going to repair Broadway street, from Clark Street to Kingshighway? It's like driving on a washboard or street with chug holes. About five years ago they ground the bumps down and I thought they where going to resurface it. They repair or install sidewalks, repair or completely replace the concrete on side streets, but will not repair a major street like Broadway! Who makes these decisions anyway? Is this our tax money at work?...

Bicycle law

I think bicyclists should be reminded of this law, especially the couple riding down Broadway in the evenings. 307.190. Riding To Right, Required For Bicycles And Motorized Bicycles: Every person operating a bicycle or motorized bicycle at less than the posted speed or slower than the flow of traffic upon a street or highway shall ride as near to the right side of the roadway as safe, exercising due care when passing a standing vehicle or one proceeding in the same direction, except when making a left turn, when avoiding hazardous conditions, when the lane is too narrow to share with another vehicle or when on a one-way street. Bicyclists may ride abreast when not impeding other vehicles.

Looking at posts defending the President's Helsinki performance would be hilarious if it weren't for the embarrassment he has caused our country and the terrible danger being ignored. Trying to transfer the blame to Democrats is a partisan cop out to a fiasco.

Pretty town

Certainly Cape Girardeau is the prettiest city in Missouri! Does anyone remember when Cape Girardeau was in a Readers Digest article saying we were a pretty city? Roses at houses on Sunset as well as the mile of roses were featured. Our city is still pretty!

Street grass

If today's lawnmowers enable people to mow their yards in less time than before, why don't said people use that extra time to sweep or blow the grass out of the streets?
