The latest NBC poll has President Trump's approval rating climbing to 45 percent, and the Democrat's generic midterm election lead dropping to 6 percent. Looks like America will keep winning as Democrats keep losing.
The Washington Post proudly proclaimed that the "FBI believed Carter Page had been recruited by the Russians." Three FISA warrants and more than a year later and the FBI still can't prove its belief. Of course, the low information voters on the Left believe Page has already been found guilty and convicted.
The "reset" with Russia during the Obama years was so productive. It led to the annexation of Crimea and cyber hacks on the U.S. in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Let Trump shut down the government. As the deficit climbs by a trillion dollars, we can't afford his wall. He should pay for it with his ill-gotten gains.
Thank you for your pictures of Jackson's Saturday Homecomers celebration derailing the rampant cigarette smoking that parents expose their children to.
An editorial "Plenty of local success by Southeast Missouri baseball teams" lauded several out of town baseball teams and one in Cape that hasn't played a game yet, while failing to mention a team that has entertained Cape Girardeau since 1894. The Capahas just clinched the St. Clair Division and Mon-Clair League regular-season title. I don't understand this oversight, but perhaps the Missourian should as John Wayne once famously said, "dance with the one what brung ya."
Hooray for President Trump. The economy is doing great in every department. Thank you, Mr. President.
I wish these so-called late night comedians, Colbert and Kimmel, would shut up about Trump and try to be funny. Late night television died with Johnny Carson. Maybe they should go to Netflix with their hero Obama.
I have already heard the liberal drums beating the mantra "Farmers Welfare" pertaining to the government aid that President Trump has announced. Let me be clear. Farmers are not like some of the deadbeats that collect government aid because they are too lazy to work. Farmers are workers and take pride in what they do. The farmers aid is needed because we had eight years of a president giving everything away and paying tariffs right and left to other countries; but he was too weak to level the playing field for his own country. So now we pay. Thank goodness we have someone in office who understands what Margaret Thatcher said. "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money." The farmer's aid is not permanent. But it will help until the other countries realize they are not dealing with the prior administration. It's a new day!
