Sign of the times at the Little League World Series: Uniforms have a patch in yellow that says "I don't Cheat."
WOW. Call your State Rep. Shelley Keeney, Sens. Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt and Congressman Jason Smith! I just want to let everyone in Bollinger County know that the family services is five employees short for the county. The state has no intentions of replacing those employees and your help for your paperwork and whatever else you need will probably be moving to Cape Girardeau. What does this mean? It means you will have to do everything by phone (which will be confusing) by computer (if you have one) or you'll have to drive to Cape Girardeau when you have to meet those deadlines of paperwork you have to hand in. What about those of you who cannot afford or have transportation to go to Cape Girardeau every time you need to deal with family services? Make those calls and keep Bollinger County Family Services in Bollinger County and fully staffed.
The suspected gunman who terrorized an Atlanta-area elementary school, firing in the front office and at officers, was armed with an assault rifle and nearly 500 rounds of ammunition, police said today. Thanks to the NRA and Republicans for allowing him this opportunity. They think everyone should have these guns.
Many Americans who are eligible for Obamacare don't know it and, if it's left up to Republicans, never will.
Cape's infrastructure is crumbling faster than a Republican can say, "No new taxes."
As columnist Byron York elucidated so clearly, Republicans are very good at bashing President Obama on the economy and Obamacare but sorely lacking in uniting around an agenda of their own. The GOP is and will for the foreseeable future remain leaderless before it finally disbands.
Mike Jensen recently returned from a vacation and wrote that while he was gone, he heard about the rodeo clown in an Obama mask incident and got a "hoot" out of it. Maybe it's time Mike considered going on another vacation. A permanent one.
I think I would support a broad and tough nuisance law for Cape Girardeau, but I fear members of the establishment would try to sneak in on a ban on Speak Out.
