Your taxes will go up if you do not get out and vote Aug. 5. There are two tax increases: Proposition K, which is "for the kids." This is a tax with no oversight. There are social workers in every school to take care of kids and refer them to numerous social programs and church programs. This is a simple "no" vote. The other is Amendment 7, a constitutional amendment to raise your taxes for MoDOT. MoDOT needs to work within its budget. Have you looked at your paycheck lately? Do you pay enough taxes already? Are the prices in the supermarket skyrocketing? Vote "no" on both Aug. 5.
