A caller lamented that Gov. Greitens is the victim of a witch hunt perpetrated by a prosecutor funded by mega donor George Soros. While it is true both political parties are swimming in money from mega donors such as Soros, Rex Sinquefield, and the Koch brothers, the governor has admitted to infidelity. Suspected sexual misconduct by elected officials should be investigated and failing to do so would be a disservice to Missouri citizens. Let's dispense with party line rhetoric and get on with the investigation.
Oak Ridge voters: Please do NOT be misled by lies. First and foremost if school safety was first priority, we would have made many improvements a long time ago. Our bus lane is fine. It's a central location and many people including staff want it to STAY. Also for safety reasons, put your preschool in the main building, this CAN be done. Being a rural area, our vo-tech should have never been taken away in the first place. Also fix the air conditioners so the rooms don't get mold in them. There's been too many "plans" that I heard Dr. Eftink talk about to feel good about what he's wanting to do.
Fix the roads. Stop spending taxpayers' money on stuff no one cares about like sidewalks and stupid art work.
With so much egg on its face for the horrific handling of the David Robinson case, it seems more than surprising that Missouri prosecutors are laying it all on line in an desperate attempt to convince the Missouri Supreme Court that it screwed up when it declared Robinson innocent. Still, who knows. In Missouri, there is always more to be known than meets the eye.
In baseball, the M&M boys will always be New York Yankees, Maris and Mantle, but I must admit that my current preoccupations is not with pride but with serious concern about St. Louis Cardinals, Mikolas and Motte.
In case you missed it: Democrats shut down the government a month ago because they supposedly cared about so-called Dreamers. Then, after the President extended an offer to protect those Dreamers plus another 1.2 million, Democrats showed their true colors by rejecting the offer. Democrats continue to show they care about no one that can't get them a news headline for a week.
From Tuesday's paper: Liquor-law violations dropped by 44 percent, from 124 to 118. Blair credited stricter city regulations and enforcement for the decline.
Public schools
The piece written by the Show Me Institutes's Emily Stahly must be taken with the proverbial grain of salt. Stahly expressed dismay because MO had not done more to punish schools lagging in performance. Stahly surely knows that the fault for underperforming schools does not rest with the schools, per se. However, Stahly also senses quite well that her bread is buttered by the Show Me Institute, an extremist organization whose agenda includes not improvement of public schools but rather their absolute annihilation.
