I'm not for certain which city official approved the rap concert being held at the Arena Building, but that individual should either resign or be terminated. I live next to Arena Park, and I can tell you that I was concerned for my family's safety as I saw the criminal element rolling into the park that night.
It's sad in America when the Grammys, you know, anyone who loves music, that the opening act is basically pretty much what would go on at a gentlemen's club. I just think it's a sad day for America when TV has no standards of decency. It's time to contact your congressmen. It's time to call CBS and say, this inappropriateness cannot go on. This is TV for our children that are growing up, our next generation. And they need to know what decency is, not this pornography that singers like Beyoncé have got going on, or even Miley Cyrus. It's just totally unacceptable.
People are complaining about the cost of stamps again. You know, if you stop and think about it, what that stamp costs, could you travel that far to pay something or to write a letter to someone? Could you count the cost of what it would take for you to get where that letter is going or where that bill is going? No. Let's be thankful that we do have something like this to mail something to get in touch with someone. Not just by phone or by computer, because not everybody has a computer. We've got a lot of elderly people who would just love to have a letter. And is that cost going to keep you from sending them a letter? I hope and pray not.
I'd like to make a comment about Barack Obama on the State of the Union address. If his health care is doing so good -- remember it's the Barack Obama health care -- how come it took him 40 minutes into his speech before he even spoke about it, if it's doing so good?
We just had the leaf pickup people again. And they came both times when the leaves were frozen to the ground. They only cleaned the top portion off. We live in a dead-end street and [they] have done a horrible job again, just like they did the first time.
